Terms of Service

1. Agreement

Check This Deal and its Chrome extension (the "Service") are operated by Lunch Time Surf LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Appraisals Are Estimates

Appraisals are produced by an AI model. They are estimates, not professional valuations, and they can be wrong. Check the comparables and use your own judgment before you buy or sell anything.

3. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

4. Credits and Payments

Each appraisal uses one credit. New accounts receive free credits, and more can be bought on the site. Payments are processed by Stripe. A credit is only used when an appraisal succeeds. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. If something is wrong with a purchase, email us and we will review a refund case by case. Prices may change; a change never affects credits you already bought.

5. Photos You Upload

You keep ownership of the photos and item details you upload through the website. By uploading them, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and use them to produce your appraisal, to show them publicly with that appraisal on the History page and the appraisal's own page, and to operate and improve the Service. This license ends when you ask us to delete the upload, except for copies in backups, which we remove in the normal course.

When you upload a photo, you promise that you own it or have permission to share it this way, and that it does not show another person's private information or anything unlawful. We may remove any upload at any time.

6. Chrome Extension Screenshots

When you click Appraise Item, the extension sends us a screenshot of the listing you are viewing. We use it to produce your appraisal. It is never shown publicly; only our admins can see it, to check appraisals.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the rights to, or that is unlawful, abusive, or misleading.
• Access the Service with bots or scripts, or send it requests in bulk.
• Get around the credit system, or resell appraisals or access to the Service.
• Interfere with the Service or try to reach data that is not yours.

8. Other Websites

The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by any marketplace or classifieds site. When you use those sites, including while using the extension, their own terms apply to you.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, email tacos@lunchtimesurf.com with: the work you own, where it appears on the Service, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We remove infringing material and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

10. Ending Your Use

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

11. Disclaimers and Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on an appraisal, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Santa Cruz County, California.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the Service after a change means you accept it.
