Vintage VW Super Scavenger Headers (Air-Cooled)

Fair market value

$400 - $600

Retail price new

$300 - $500

These appear to be original Super Scavenger headers, a highly coveted 'old school' exhaust for air-cooled Volkswagens (Beetles/Buggies). While they are rare and collectible, the condition in the photo shows significant paint flaking and surface oxidation. The asking price of $800 is typically reserved for New Old Stock (NOS) or fully restored/ceramic-coated examples. Given that these will require sandblasting and recoating to reach show quality, the asking price is high compared to the current market for 'driver' quality survivors.
